Attorney
A recent addition to the firm, Cobe is a newly licensed North Carolina Attorney and is looking to make an impact in his community. Cobe graduated from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2016 with a B.A. in History and Criminal Justice. He graduated from Campbell Law School in May of 2023. During his time in law school, Cobe spent time working with both legal technology companies and international corporations, focusing on legal drafting, document review, and contract negotiations. A lifelong resident of the Triangle, Cobe is dedicated to serving the region and its citizens. He hopes to provide representation that is compassionate and tailored to the specific needs of each of his clients.
April Whitfield
Office Manager
April manages the Law Office of Martha McKee. She will assist you with contracts, court proceedings, and account management. She is well versed in local rules and civil procedure, so no matter what county you are in, she knows the clerks in your courthouse and the jurisdictional details required for your case. She also assists with legal matters on every case that Attorney McKee handles, and is invaluable when cases go to trial, as she prepares exhibits. She is a mother to two boys, a Durham native and has worked with Attorney McKee for years.
Anna Cooper
Senior Legal Assistant
Anna has worked with Attorney McKee for five years, both in her former Main St. location, and now in her South Square location. Anna will assist you with specific legal questions throughout your case, working to relay and explain advice directly from Attorney McKee about issues of all kinds. She knows the legal process at the firm well, so she is a resource for all your procedural questions as your case develops, especially in preparing Attorney McKee for settlements and/or trial. She is also a P.C. (USA) minister and weaves her ministry experience into her role as client support only insofar as is warranted to care for clients’ in need of a supportive presence. Anna is a mother to three and also a Durham native.
Lara Asturias
Legal Assistant
Lara works to assist cases as needed by filing documents in our courthouses, maintaining our office calendar, and answering the phones. She maintains client files, correspondence, consultations, and she supports the senior staff with all of their administrative needs day in and day out. She is a Florida native, a recent UNC-CH graduate, and hopes to attend law school in the near future.
